Miltenberger and Bennett-Hooper Rowing Center

Dedicated in 2022, the Miltenberger and Bennett-Hooper Rowing Center is the newly expanded home of the Hobart and William Smith rowing teams. Located on the banks of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal, the rowing center includes a new training facility, docks and spectator area, and a major renovation to Hellstrom Boathouse among other upgrades. It was funded in large part thanks to leadership gifts from Merritt Bennett P'21 and Robert Bennett P'21 and HWS Trustee Paula Miltenberger P'23 and Bay Miltenberger P'23.

Blessed with a location ideally suited to the sport, the Statesmen and Herons have 6 miles of calm, protected water on the canal to train on and when conditions allow, the teams also practice and compete on the picturesque waters of Seneca Lake.
