Made possible by the extraordinary generosity of James F. ’56 and Cynthia L. Caird, the Caird Center for Sports and Recreation unites several keystone elements of the Colleges' athletics complex and includes Boswell Field at Urick Stadium, Bristol Field House, Froelich Gatehouse, Elliott Varsity House, Stiles Field at the Thomas B. Poole '61 and Family Sports Dome, and William Smith Field.

The construction of the Caird Center included a FieldTurf surface, lighting, grandstand and press box for Boswell Field, refurbished and expanded team rooms in Elliott Varsity House, and a new sod surface for William Smith Field.

The Caird Center for Sports and Recreation is an exceptional center for intercollegiate athletics, club sports, intramurals, and recreational fitness.
