The 2010 fall schedules for the Hobart Statesmen and the William Smith Herons have been posted on the Colleges’ website. HWS’ 13 fall slates feature 45 home contests, including the Sept. 25 dedication of the Caird Center for Sports and Recreation during Family and Homecoming Weekend.

For the sixth time in seven years, the Hobart rowing team has swept the Liberty League’s postseason awards. The Statesmen secured their seventh Crew of the Year and Coaching Staff of the Year, while securing their sixth Novice Crew of the Year.

Four members of the Hobart rowing team were recently honored by the Statesmen Athletic Association (SAA) and the Hobart Athletics Department at the annual Block H Awards Dinner. Junior Jack Trimble took the top award, receiving the S. Ford Weiskittel Crew Award as the team’s most valuable oarsman.

Six members of the Hobart rowing team were named to the inaugural ECAC/National Invitational Rowing Championships Stewards’ All Academic Team. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.
