Liberty League Squash
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.--The William Smith squash team split a pair of matches in the Liberty League Tournament today. The Herons lost to host Vassar 5-4, but rebounded to defeat St. Lawrence 9-0.

Against the Brewers, Alexa Comstock, Emily Hazenberg, Ali Haseotes, Eliza Braendel won for William Smith (2-1) in matches six through nine, but Vassar swept the top five in the minimum three games.

Against the Saints, Comstock, Hazenberg, Haseotes, and Braendel were joined in the win column by Lori Stump, Katie Baker, Katie Mullen, Isabella Comstock, and Megan Peterson. Only two of the nine matches went beyond three games, and they were decided in four.

The Liberty League Championship will be decided on Nov. 23, when St. Lawrence takes on Vassar.

William Smith is back in action on Dec. 6-7, when the Herons compete in the Wesleyan Round Robin.
