Hobart College sophomore Evan Grey was recently named to the ECAC Division III Upstate Men’s Soccer All-Star First Team, after guiding the Statesmen to a 15-4-2 record in 2009.

A midfielder, Grey has started every game for the past two seasons for Hobart. A strong all-around player, he notched three goals and two assists this fall, including the game-winner in a 3-2 double-overtime win at Clarkson. Grey also scored in wins over RIT and Hamilton. He is a two-time All-Liberty League pick, earning first team honors this year.

This season, Grey helped Hobart capture the program’s first Liberty League Championship and earn its fourth straight (fifth overall) berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Statesmen advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
