Thirteen members of the Hobart College football team recently earned a spot on the 2009 Liberty League All-Academic Team.
“I'm delighted to hear of the academic achievements of the many fine Hobart men who wear the Statesman uniform,” said
David Mapstone, Hobart Dean and football Faculty Athletic Fellow. “These men are wonderful examples of our institutional commitment to develop holistic student-athletes—men committed to excellence in the classroom, on the playing field, and in our community.”
To earn a spot on the team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher and be at least a sophomore academically. The following Statesmen were named to the All-Academic squad:

The Hobart football team posted a 6-3 overall record and finished third in the Liberty League this fall. The Statesmen capped the season with a four-game winning streak, en route to the program's 13th straight winning season.
