Hobart College Squash and Tennis Head Coach Carol Weymuller recently announced that the 2010-11 season will be her final season with the Statesmen. Now in her 16th season, she is the school's all-time wins leader in both sports.

“Carol brought high-ethical standards, sound teaching, and a strong commitment to our student-athletes,” Hobart Director of Athletics Mike Hanna '68 said. “We are deeply grateful for her teamwork, dedication, and service.”

Weymuller joined the Hobart coaching staff in 1995 and guided the tennis team to a 14-5 record and the Liberty League Championship in her first season. Her tennis squad captured a second conference championship in 2003-04, posting a school record 17 wins against just three losses. Weymuller was voted the 2003-04 Liberty League Coach of the Year by her peers. In 15-plus seasons, her tennis teams have won 137 matches.

On the squash courts, the Statesmen have produced 138 wins under Weymuller's tutelage. Hobart won back-to-back Liberty League titles in 2003-04 and 2004-05. Weymuller's Statesmen have finished in the top 20 in the nation eight times, including a No. 10 ranking in 2003-04 after a 15-9 season, the program standard for wins. She is a two-time Liberty League Squash Coach of the Year award winner.

The U.S. Tennis Professionals Association honored Weymuller with its 2002 Tex Schwab Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2008, Weymuller and her husband, Fred, were both inducted into the U.S. SQUASH Hall of Fame. In 1994, they both received the U.S. Squash Racquets Association's President's Cup, the most prestigious award presented by the USSRA.

Hobart will begin a national search for Weymuller's replacement in the spring.
