Ashlinn Barber was named the Liberty League Women's Basketball Co-Forward of the Week by the conference office today. She earned her fourth award of the season by averaging 18.5 points and 10.0 rebounds over the weekend.
At St. Lawrence, she scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. At Clarkson, Barber posted team-highs of 22 points and seven rebounds.
Unfortunately for the Herons, the Saints prevailed 84-68, while the Golden Knights won 83-80.
Barber has started 14 of William Smith's 17 games this season. She is averaging 12.2 points and a team-best 9.0 rebounds. Barber leads the Liberty League in rebounding, is third in field goal percentage (.452), and is 11th in scoring.
The Herons (5-12, 1-6) will be back in action on Feb. 5, when they host Union (6-11, 4-3). Tipoff in Bristol Gym is scheduled for 6 p.m. On Jan. 16 in Schenectady, the Dutchwomen eked out a 64-63 victory.
