GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College squash team dropped two matches in the Smith Squash Center today. The Statesmen fell to 11th-ranked Franklin & Marshall 9-0, and sixth-ranked Cornell 9-0, slipping to 4-14 on the season.

Sophomore Kevin Kent led Hobart vs. the Diplomats at No. 8. After dropping the first game 11-8, he battled back to take the second 11-9, but Ben Lurio finished the match by winning the next two, 11-1, 11-7.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Feb. 10 when they travel to Rochester for a match at 6 p.m.

Kevin Curtin
Hobart Lacrosse
Facing the toughest defense in the nation, Curtin posted his third consecutive hat trick. He completed his collegiate career with a three-goal performance at Bryant on Thursday. The Bulldogs came into the contest allowing just 6.44 goals per game, but the Statesmen netted nine goals, the second highest total against Bryant this season. Curtin capped his career 11th in career goals and career points and 12th in career assists.

William Smith Rowing
DiPalma served as the coxswain for the William Smith varsity eight that finished second in the petite final at the ECAC Championships on Sunday. In their morning heat, the Herons committed a false start, but then turned in the third fastest time of the heats (out of 20 crews in three heats). William Smith covered the course in 6:59.640, then logged a time of 6:57.688 in the petite final, second only to Division I New Hampshire.
