Atwan opened the season with a total of 11 points in two William Smith victories. She netted a pair of goals and assisted on a third, all in the first half, as the Herons defeated Oswego 7-0 on Wednesday. Three days later, Atwan produced her first career hat trick, all in the second half, to rally William Smith from a two-goal halftime deficit to a 4-2 victory. Her 11 points is nearly double her point total from her first two seasons combined and nearly halfway to her point total last year (25).
