For the sixth time this season, the Hobart rowing team’s varsity eight has been named the Liberty League Co-Boat of the Week.

On April 17, the Statesmen hosted Division I Colgate in the annual battle for the Seneca Cup. In the second 500 of the 2,000 meter race, Hobart took control, easing away from the Raiders and coasting to a nearly 18-second victory.

Reynaldo Kelly, Andrew Fosbrook, David Grossman, Jack Trimble, Andrew Cobb, Matt Scanlon, David Roberts, Harold Zurakowski, and Carmen Cimini powered the varsity eight across the finish line in 6 minutes, 30.66 seconds.

The victory marked the first by the Statesmen over the Raiders since 2004.

Hobart will look to capture its fifth consecutive conference championship on April 24, when the Statesmen compete in the Liberty League Championships in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
