On Sat., April 24, the Hobart lacrosse team will host seventh-ranked Loyola on Senior Day at McCooey Field. Prior to the opening faceoff at 1 p.m., the Statesmen will honor the team's nine members of the Class of 2010.

Senior goalie Max Silberlicht leads Hobart. The Inside Lacrosse preseason honorable mention All-American is sixth in the nation in save percentage (.583). Silberlicht ranks among the very best goalies in Hobart’s Division I history. He’s produced more wins (17) and has a lower career GAA (9.13) than any Statesmen keeper since 1995. Silberlicht’s career save total (523) and save percentage (.581) are second on Hobart’s DI list. He broke the school’s DI season record for GAA in 2008 (8.05) and then broke it again in 2009 (7.91). He’s on pace to make 188 saves this season, which would rank third on Hobart’s DI list.

The Statesmen (2-9, 0-5) are also getting exceptional play at the faceoff X from Bobby Dattilo. He won 25-of-38 restarts in two games last week, raising his season success rate to .603. The sophomore began the week first in the ECAC and fifth in the nation in faceoff winning percentage.

Sophomore Chris Pedersen paces the Hobart attack with 15 goals and 13 assists for a team-high 28 points. He carries a 17-game point scoring streak into Saturday's contest.

The Greyhounds (8-2, 5-0) are riding a five-game winning streak following last Saturday’s 11-6 win over then No. 9 Georgetown. Loyola is averaging 10.3 goals per game, while leading the nation in scoring defense (6.7 gpg). The Hounds also rank in the top-10 in the nation in faceoff winning percentage (3rd, .593), man-down defense (5th, .781), scoring margin (6th, +3.6), winning percentage (6th, .800), and ground balls (10th, 34.7).

Tickets are $5 for general admission, $1 for children under 12.
