The Hobart lacrosse team will play its final home game of the 2010 season when the Statesmen play host to Air Force on Sat., May 1. The game will be televised live by Time Warner Cable Sports beginning at 7 p.m.

The Statesmen and Falcons have played against each other just once before. Hobart topped Air Force in 1989, 17-2 on Boswell Field.

Before the Statesmen and Falcons face off, Hobart will honor the 1980 Hobart lacrosse team. The 1980 Statesmen won the inaugural NCAA Division III National Championship. They will be dubbed a Hobart Team of Distinction, the highest honor the College bestows on an athletic team.

Hobart will sell t-shirts to raise money for the Navy SEAL Warrior Fund. The long sleeve tees can be purchased for $20 at the McCooey Field entrance.

Tthe Navy SEAL Warrior Fund is a non-profit organization that supports the widows and children of U.S. Navy SEALs killed in combat or training, assists wounded SEALs, and provides support to the active duty SEALs who are away from home answering the call of duty, and their families back home.

Sophomore midfielder Matt Campbell has led his teammate's efforts on behalf of the Navy SEAL Warrior Fund. A representative of the organization will be recognized prior to the start of Saturday's game as will U.S. military veterans. The Geneva American Legion Post's Doughboys will present the colors prior to the National Anthem.
