Two Hobart lacrosse players were elected to the All-ECAC teams by the league's coaches. Senior goalie
Max Silberlicht and sophomore attackman
Chris Pedersen represented the Statesmen on the second team.
Silberlicht started all 14 games for Hobart this season. He finished the year with 178 saves, a .567 save percentage (14th in the nation), and a 10.37 goals against average. Silberlicht's save total is fourth on Hobart's Division I season list, while his save percentage is seventh. He made a career-high 23 saves against defending national champion and then No. 2 ranked Syracuse on March 23. The performance earned him the LaxNews.com Player of the Week Award. Silberlicht led the league in saves per game (12.71) and ranked second in save percentage.
A preseason Inside Lacrosse honorable mention All-American, Silberlicht finished his career with a 9.24 GAA and 18 wins, both Hobart DI records. He registered 553 saves, second on Hobart's DI list behind Fred Pawlikowski's 582. Silberlicht also ranks second in career save percentage (.576) behind Pawlikowski (.600).
Silberlicht was a co-recipient of the
Francis L. “Babe” Kraus '24 Memorial Award as Hobart's most outstanding senior athlete.
Pedersen also started every game this season, producing 17 goals and a team-high 16 assists for 33 points. He scored a season-high four points three times this year, including a career-high four goals against Quinnipiac on March 20. Pedersen collected 23 ground balls, scooping up a career-high seven at Denver.
Entering his junior season, Pedersen has 33 goals and 27 assists. He ranks 14th on Hobart's DI career assists list and 20th in career points (80).
Hobart finished the season with a 3-11 record, 1-6 in the ECAC.
