The Hobart and William Smith Colleges basketball teams hosted a clinic for members of the Ontario ARC basketball teams on April 16. Organized by William Smith Head Coach Lindsay Drury, 30 ARC team members participated in the clinic at Bristol Field House. Drury, Hobart Head Coach Izzi Metz '98, and 14 HWS basketball student-athletes facilitated the event.

“It was great to see how well all the athletes worked together,” Drury said. “Everyone learned a lot about basketball, but more importantly, we had a blast! It was nice for all of the athletes to be able to share their stories and experiences with each other. We look forward to building on our relationship with Ontario ARC, and continuing this clinic for years to come.”

After a dynamic warm-up, the group rotated through different stations led by members of the Hobart and William Smith basketball teams. The stations included defense, rebounding, layups, shooting, passing and ball handling, and one-on-one drills. The clinic also included dribbling relay races in which each team strived to finish first, as well as show the most team spirit.

The highlight for all the athletes came at the conclusion of the evening, when the Ontario ARC teams scrimmaged the HWS basketball players.
