Jesse Wilson garnered Liberty League Women's Lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors today. She stopped 21 shots in the Herons' two wins in the SpringFling Tournament's Linley Division in West Palm Beach, Fla., last week.
Wilson recorded seven saves in 46:53 to help William Smith (2-1) to a 19-18 win over No. 19 Babson on Tuesday. She played all 60 minutes in the championship game on Thursday, and registered a season-high 14 saves in a 10-9 win over Messiah. Wilson is leading the Liberty League, averaging 9.33 saves per game.
The Herons will be back in action tomorrow, March 22 when William Smith plays its first ever game on Boswell Field against St. John Fisher beginning at 5 p.m.
