Hobart College senior faceoff specialist
Bobby Dattilo was drafted by the Rochester Rattlers in the 2012 Major League Lacrosse Draft on Jan. 13. He was the first pick of the fourth round, 25th overall.
One of five team captains for this year's Statesmen, Dattilo was generally regarded as the top faceoff man in this year's draft. In three seasons at Hobart, he's won 58.8 percent of his faceoffs, the highest career winning percentage for any Division I Statesman. Dattilo also ranks fifth in career ground balls with 191, 72 off the Hobart DI record.
A first-team All-ECAC selection last season, Dattilo led the league and ranked third in the nation in faceoff winning percentage with a Hobart DI season record .649 (167-of-296). He also led the team and was eighth in the nation in ground balls (93, 6.64/g). Dattilo also contributed to the offense, scoring a pair of goals and handing out four assists.
The Rattlers have been lauded for their 2012 draft. Kyle Devitte, writing for
