The Hobart College cross country team finished in seventh place at the 2012 Liberty League Championships hosted by Clarkson in Postdam, N.Y., this afternoon. First-year
Patrick Hatheway led the Statesmen for the eighth time this season.
Hatheway finished the 8-kilometer course in 28:18 to finish 72nd out of 131 runners. St. Lawrence's Sam Rakoc won the individual title with a time of 25:35. The Saints also won the team title with 21 points. RPI placed second with 50 team points and Vassar took third with 71 points.
Sophomore
Max Feldman was the second Hobart harrier to finish. He clocked a new career best 8k time of 29:07 for 93rd place. First-year
Ty Rodabaugh was next, finishing 104th with a time of 30:00. Sophomore
Austin Corbett was close behind him in 107th place in 30:28. First-year
Jeff Rizza rounded out the top five Statesmen finishers with a time of 30:41 for 109th place.
Hobart will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 3, when the Statesmen compete in the ECAC Championships in Williamstown, Mass. The men's race is scheduled to begin at noon.
