The Hobart College cross country team finished in 37th place at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester, N.Y., today.
First-year
Patrick Hatheway led the Statesmen across the finish line, completing the 8-kilomter course in 27:57.2. He finished 149th out of 197 runners. Hatheway led Hobart in all 10 races in his rookie season.
Sophomore
Ian Hatch was the second Hobart harrier to finish. He placed 215th in 29:25.2. First-year
Jeff Rizza was next with a time of 29:35.6 for 228th.It was his best 8k time this year. Sophomore
Max Feldman finished in 30:09.4 to take 242nd and junior
Nick Schmidt rounded out the top five Statesmen clocking a time of 30:25.9 for 250th place.
Alex Brimstein of Geneseo finished in first place with a time of 25:14.4. NYU won the team title with 50 points. Geneseo was second with 59 points. The top two teams earned a spot in the national championship meet. Cortland finished in third place with 94 team points.
