William Smith sophomore Madeline Buckley earned the Liberty League Women's Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week award as announced by the conference office this afternoon. She recorded two goals and an assist in two wins for the No. 10 Herons last week.

Buckley notched both of the William Smith goals in a 2-1 double overtime victory at Rochester on Wednesday. She scored in the 64th minute to tie the game at one, and then found the back of the net eight minutes into the second overtime period to clinch the win. On Saturday at Clarkson, Buckley set up what proved to be the game-winning goal just 3:01 into the match.

Buckley leads William Smith with 16 points on a team-high seven goals and two assists. She ranks first in the Liberty League in points, goals, and goals per game (0.88).

The Herons (6-1-1) will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 28, when they travel to take on Rensselaer in a Liberty League match beginning at 4 p.m.
