The Hobart College cross country team finished 30th in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship hosted by Geneseo in Mt. Morris, N.Y., this afternoon. First-year
Cal Randle led the Statesmen across the finish line for the seventh time this season.
Two Statesmen posted their best 8-kilometer times of the season this afternoon. Randle completed the course in 28:08.2 to finish 163rd out of 275 runners. Senior
Wes Traub was the next Hobart runner to cross the finish line. He posted a time of 28:36.8 to take 183rd place. First-year
Jesse Schaffer logged a season-best 8k time of 28:40.0 for 185th place. Senior
Nick Schmidt finished in 28:47.3 and came in 193rd place, and first-year
Ryan Moore registered a season-best 8k time of 30:05.7 for 223rd place.
Nick Marcantonio of Cortland won the individual title with a time of 25:03.5. The Red Dragons also won the team title with 37 points. NYU took second with 62 points and Geneseo claimed third with 103. The top two teams advance to the national championship meet.
