The Hobart College cross country team finished 18th of 46 teams at the ECAC Championships in Bristol, R.I., this afternoon. First-year
Cal Randle led the Statesmen across the finish line for the sixth time this season.
Randle completed the 8-kilometer course in 27:45.61 to take 83rd out of 327 runners. Sophomore
Mikey Ledyard took 115th place in 28:25.57. Senior
Wes Traub came in 119th place with a time of 28:26.97. First-year
Jesse Schaffer posted a season-best 8k time of 28:48.81. Senior
Nick Schmidt rounded out the top five Statesmen runners, placing 147th in 28:50.74.
Cole Townsend of Williams College earned the individual title, clocking a time of 25:43.08. The Ephs also claimed the team title with 26 points. Tufts took second with 75 teams points and Amherst finished third with 84 points.
The Statesmen will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 16, when they compete in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships in Mt. Morris, N.Y.
