Hobart football lands 11 on All-Academic Team

Eleven members of the Hobart College football team earned a spot on the 2013 Liberty League All-Academic Team. It's the most student-athletes recognized for the league champion Statesmen since 2009 when 13 were honored.

To be eligible for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2. The following Hobart players earned their place on the team:

Davis, Green, and Sweeney are three-time Liberty League All-Academic honorees while Conlan and Robinson are making their second appearance on the squad. Additionally, Green, Davis, Toran, and Robinson were also named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Team while Green went on to secure Capital One first team Academic All-American honors.

Hobart won all nine of its regular season games this year, its second consecutive undefeated regular season. The Statesmen picked up a 10th win in the first round of the NCAA playoffs before falling in the second round. Hobart was ranked as high as fifth in the nation in the AFCA poll and as high as sixth in the D3football.com Top 25 this year.
