Ben Robinson earned spots on the 2013-14 Liberty League All-Academic Team.
To be considered for all-academic honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.
A computer science major, DeLuccia played in nine doubles matches and two singles matches this year. He went 1-1 at the No. 6 singles spot and was a perfect 2-0 at No. 2 doubles. It's the second year in a row DeLuccia has been named to the all-academic team.
A Spanish and Hispanic studies and economics major and co-captain, Fields led the Statesmen in singles victories, notching a 12-10 overall record this year. He played all but two of his singles matches at the No. 1 spot going 11-9 and adding a 1-1 record at No. 2. Fields also shared a team-high with 13 overall doubles wins. The All-Liberty League singles and doubles honoree posted a 13-8 record at No. 1 doubles. He earned all-academic accolades for the second straight season.
Also a co-captain, Robinson played in five singles matches at Nos. 4-6 in his senior year. He earned a win at No. 4 and went 2-1 at No. 6. Robinson notched a 5-6 overall doubles record, pairing with first-year
Danny Kot to go 2-0 at No. 3. Robinson teamed with first-year
Carson Smith for an 8-1 victory at the No. 1 spot against Hamilton and posted an 8-6 win with DeLuccia at No. 2 against St. Michael's. A four-year member of the tennis team, Robinson helped the Statesmen to a 46-40 record in his career. He graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in philosophy.
The Statesmen finished 2013-14 with a 13-10 overall record and advanced to the Liberty League tournament semifinals.
