The Hobart College cross country team finished 3rd of 15 teams at the Cross Country Only Conference Championship at Seneca Lake State Park this afternoon. First-year
William Fletcher led the Statesmen across the finish line, placing 15th of 145 runners.

Fletcher logged a season-best 8-kilometer time of 27:14.3. Junior
Tyler Sutherland was the next Statesman to finish, coming in 20th place in 27:46.2. First-year
Josh Wasserman was close behind in 22nd place in 27:56.6. First-year
Jesse Maltese came in 33rd place with a season-best 8k of 28:35.7, and junior
Josh Owens clocked a time of 28:47.7 for 39th place.

New Paltz's Galo Vasquez took home the individual title with a time of 25:34.8. New Paltz also took first as a team with 23 points. Clarkson was second with 43, and the Statesmen took third with 102 team points.

Hobart will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 29, when they host the Liberty League Championships at Seneca Lake State Park. The men's race is scheduled to begin at noon.
