GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College cross country team finished in seventh place at the Liberty League Championship at the Statesmen's home course, Seneca Lake State Park, this afternoon.
First-year
Josh Wasserman led the Statesmen across the finish line of the 8-kilometer course for the sixth time this season. He posted a time of 28:03.5 to finish 71st out of 128 runners. First-year
William Fletcher was the next Hobart finisher with a time of 28:31.9 for 80th place. First-year
Jesse Maltese came in 88th place, clocking a time of 28:49.9. Junior
Tyler Sutherland finished 99th in 29:37.4, and classmate
Jeremiah Piersante finished 106th in 30:22.1.
RPI's Benjamin Fazio earned the individual title with a time of 25:22.5. The Engineers also claimed the team title with 22 points. St. Lawrence was second with 62 points, and Vassar was third with 69 points.
Hobart will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 5, when it competes in the ECAC Championship in Milton, N.Y. The men's race is set for noon.
