Ten members of the William Smith College cross country team earned a spot on the 2016 Liberty League All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for all-academic honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3 through the end of the 2016 spring semester.

- Liz Hawes, psychology major
- Sara Keller, public policy studies and political science major
- Mary Catherine Kowalsky, economics major
- Sophie MacCracken, English major
- Sophie Melvin, chemistry major
- Maureen Milmoe, psychology major
- Katie Pinkes, neuroscience major
- Allie Rubin, architectural studies major
Pinkes and Rubin garnered all-academic honors for the third straight year, while Kowalsky, MacCracken and Melvin earned a spot on the team for the second year in a row.

The Herons posted third place finishes at the SUNY Poly Invitational, the Oswego State Invitational, the CCOC Championship and the ECAC Championship.
