Ten members of the William Smith College cross country team earned a spot on the 2016 Liberty League All-Academic Team.
 
To be eligible for all-academic honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3 through the end of the 2016 spring semester.
 
The following student-athletes represented William Smith:
 

• Gabriella Goodwin, media & society and music major
• Eva Gurian, biology major
• Liz Hawes, psychology major
• Sara Keller, public policy studies and political science major
• Mary Catherine Kowalsky, economics major
• Sophie MacCracken, English major
• Sophie Melvin, chemistry major
• Maureen Milmoe, psychology major
• Katie Pinkes, neuroscience major
• Allie Rubin, architectural studies major

Pinkes and Rubin garnered all-academic honors for the third straight year, while Kowalsky, MacCracken and Melvin earned a spot on the team for the second year in a row.
 
The Herons posted third place finishes at the SUNY Poly Invitational, the Oswego State Invitational, the CCOC Championship and the ECAC Championship.
