Six members of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges sailing team were named All-Americans by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) following the 2018 spring national championship regattas.

Maya Weber earned spots on the ICSA All-America crew team. It's the second year in a row that Hobbs, Guzman and Weber garnered All-America honors.

The first women's skipper All-American in program history, Carter skippered in A Division at the ICSA Women's Championship. The Herons took third in A Division and second as a team in the eastern semifinal to advance to the finals, where they won the A Division by 25 points on their way to a third place team finish. It was William Smith's best finish at the event in program history. Carter also competed in A Division as the Herons took second in the MAISA Spring Women's Regatta, earning the team title at the event. She also competed in the A Division at the Wick/Shrew, St. Mary's Women's and the Navy Spring Women's regattas this spring. In the fall, she led William Smith to a sixth place finish in the A Division at ACC Women's Championship.

Carter is a three-time All-MAISA Women's Skipper and a three-time recipient of the Ady Symonds '96 Most Valuable Sailing Award. She was also named the 2018 MAISA Women's Sailor of the Year.

Hobbs competed in two national championship events for HWS this spring. He skippered the Colleges to a third place finish at the Team Race Championship and won A Division of the coed eastern semifinal before guiding HWS to a fourth place finish in both A Division and as a team in the ICSA Coed Championship. Hobbs won the A Division of the America Trophy. He helped HWS take home the team title, with a third place finish in A Division of the Admirals Cup, and earned first place finishes in the Admiral Moore Team Race and the Georgetown Team Race. In the fall, Hobbs skippered A Division that took first place as the Colleges won the War Memorial, and finished third in the MAISA Match Race.

He was named the 2018 MAISA Coed Sailor of the Year and earned All-MAISA first team skipper honors for the third year in a row. Hobbs is also a three-time recipient of the Trevor Oakley Moore '07 Memorial Award.

Guzman represented the Colleges in the team race championship and in the coed championship where he earned a fourth place finish as skipper in B Division. He skippered B Division to a first place finish in the coed eastern semifinal and took fourth in B Division of the America Trophy. Guzman won the B Division, helping HWS to the team title at the Admirals Cup, and guided the Colleges to a third place finish at the Prosser Trophy. He also helped secure wins at the Admiral Moore Team Race and the Georgetown Team Race. In the fall, Guzman competed in the ACC Dinghy Championships. He won B Division of the War Memorial and the Truxtun Umsted and came out on top of A Division at the David Lee Arnoff Regatta, the North Qualifier and the Nevins Trophy.

Kloc served as crew in both the team race championship and the Coed Championship this spring. She finished fourth in the Coed A Division. Kloc earned a win in A Division at the Coed Eastern Semifinal and at the America Trophy. She was part of HWS' winning lineup at the Admiral Moore Team Race and the Georgetown Team Race and earned a third place finish at the Prosser Trophy. In the fall, she competed in the ACC Dinghy Championships and won the A Division of the War Memorial. Kloc earned wins in A Division of the Captain Hurst Bowl, the Jesuit Regatta, the Nevins Trophy, and the Jack Boeringer Regatta, and in B Division of the David Lee Arnoff Regatta and the North Qualifier.

Okun represented HWS in two championship events this spring. She helped win A Division at the Women's Championship, as the Herons finished third overall. Okun also guided the Colleges to a third place finish at the Team Race Championship. She clinched a win at the Admiral Moore Team Race and took second at the Graham Hall Team Race. This fall, Okun won B Division, helping HWS to the team title at the Jesuit Regatta and earned a first place finish in B Division at the Jack Boeringer Regatta. She is a three-time All-MAISA Crew selection.

Weber also competed in the team race championship and the coed championship as a member of the crew this spring. She competed in B Division at the coed championship. Weber won B Division at the Admirals Cup, and led HWS to the team title at the Admiral Moore Team Race. This fall, she raced in the ACC Dinghy Championships. Weber took first in B Division of the War Memorial and the Truxtun Umsted and A Division of the David Lee Arnoff Regatta, the North Qualifier and the Nevins Trophy.

Hobart and William Smith sailors have earned 61 All-America awards. This season's six All-Americans is a high-water mark for the Colleges. The previous record was five set by the 1999 team and matched by the 2000, 2003 and 2005 teams.

Since earning its first national championship regatta berth in 1996, HWS sailing has appeared in 65 ICSAÂ Championship regattas. HWS has finished in the top 5 26 times at nationals, winning the 2005 ICSAÂ Team Race National Championship and the 2005 Coed Dinghy National Championship.
