The Michael Theodore Silver '39 Award is presented annually to the member of the football team whose scholarship, sportsmanship, and perseverance have proved to be superior.
The award recognizes the outstanding athletic ability of Ted Silver, his love for the sport of football, and his loyalty to Hobart College. This award has been endowed through the generous loyalty of his brother, Ralph S. Silver Jr. '33.
