Financial Aid
Financial aid received by Hobart or William Smith student-athletes, including members of the Division I Hobart lacrosse program, is based on the financial need of each individual student and his or her family. Because HWS became a multidivision member of the NCAA after 1983, current legislation does NOT allow HWS to offer athletic scholarships to it Division I lacrosse student-athletes. Instead, the more stringent Division III rules concerning financial aid are applied, which requires the financial packaging of athletes be consistent with the established policy of the institution’s financial aid office for all students.

Atwan opened the season with a total of 11 points in two William Smith victories. She netted a pair of goals and assisted on a third, all in the first half, as the Herons defeated Oswego 7-0 on Wednesday. Three days later, Atwan produced her first career hat trick, all in the second half, to rally William Smith from a two-goal halftime deficit to a 4-2 victory. Her 11 points is nearly double her point total from her first two seasons combined and nearly halfway to her point total last year (25).
