The Coach Ron Fleury Cross Country Award is presented to the runner whose dedication to his academic work, his teammates, and to the HWS community has been outstanding.
This award honors Ron Fleury, head coach of Hobart cross country since 1983, for his compassionate leadership. Fleury is retired from a distinguished career of teaching math at Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls. While a part-time employee of the Colleges, Fleury's commitment to Hobart athletics and to his runners in their roles as students, athletes, and citizens has been exemplary.
The award has been endowed through the generous loyalty of former cross country team captain Tom Patchett '88.
