The No. 12 William Smith College rowing team was seeded third on Day 2 of racing in Worcester, Mass., and both the Heron varsity eight and second varsity eight finished third this morning.

Gillian Casserly also finished third behind the host Engineers and the Jumbos. WPI logged a time of 7:04.1 and Tufts finished in 7:04.24. The Herons were next in 7:18.39. Clark came in fourth place with a time of 8:07.76.

"It's been a great weekend for the team in terms of the acquisition of skills and their ability to apply them," said Head Coach
Sandra Chu. "I think both boats leave Worcester with a strong sense of not only what they learned but also what work needs to happen each day to continue along this path. For the staff, we have a tremendous admiration for the steps we took in the past two days."
